As part of a thrilling three-day in-stadium benefit, the Classic featured a star-studded lineup of iconic celebrity players from the worlds of music, sports and entertainment. Notable participants included Sydney Thomas, Yordan Alvarez, Metro Boomin, Travis Scott, Andre Johnson, Amber Rose, CC Sabathia, Warren Moon, Scarface, Reggie Jackson, Josie Canseco, Josh Webster, Jordan Webster, Chase B, Bun B, Terrell Owens, Teyana Taylor, Andruw Jones, Adrian Peterson, Rachel DeMita, Johnny Manziel, Tyla, Jeff Bagwell, Gary Sheffield, Swae Lee, Slim Thug, Sheck Wes, Ozuna, Michael Bourn, Trae Tha Truth, Rajon Rondo, Shane Victorino, Damar Hamlin, Carl Lewis, Andre Dawson, Wallie The Sensei, Paul Wall, Marsai Martin, Dess Dior, CJ Stroud, Reggie Saunders, David Stromberg, Bizzy, Lorenzo McCloud, Kyle McLaughlin, Jared Crane, Oggizery, Courtney Couch, Earl Thomas II, Mariah The Scientist, BIA, Mauricio Dubon and Jose Canseco. Together, they united to champion the foundation’s mission of furthering educational and creative resources for the youth. The game ended with a win by Travis Scott’s team and NBA legend Rajon Rando was named MVP. Event sponsors included Nike, Fanatics, CACTI, Pantone, Polaris, and Raising Cane’s. ![]() The Celebrity Softball Classic kicked off the three-day Cactus Jack HBCU Classic, a round-robin collegiate baseball tournament featuring Division 1 teams from historically black colleges and universities. The star studded event began with a special ceremony honoring the Waymond Webster HBCU scholarship recipients, which included remarks from Cactus Jack Foundation spokesperson and Travis Scott’s sister, Jordan Webster on the the foundation’s commitment to supporting schools that have played a pivotal role in their own lives. At the ceremony, the Webster family and Cactus Jack foundation took the opportunity to recognize two new Cactus Jack Scholars, closely following the official launch of the Cactus Jack Design Ethos 101 Program in partnership with the Fashion Scholarship Fund. In attendance were Travis Scott, his sister Jordan, his brother Josh, his mother Mrs. Wanda, and his grandmother Miss Sealie, who was a professor at Prairie View A&M University. This event highlights Scott’s ongoing commitment to supporting HBCU students through scholarships, a cause deeply connected to his family’s legacy. ![]() Adding to the experience, the Cactus Jack Social Impact Village made its return to the classic for the second year—an immersive, interactive hub featuring over 20 community and civic organizations dedicated to making a difference. This vibrant space provided valuable on-site resources, empowering guests with resources and information on their services. Organization partners featured in the social impact villages included TXRX Labs, AIR Project, AT&T, Bethels’ Heavenly Hands, CACT.US Design Center, CompuDot, Devenere Law Firm, HBCUonly, Houston Health Foundation, Houston Housing Authority, Houston Loves Teachers, Houston Public Library, Kid’s Meals, L1 Foundation, Memorial Hermann, METRO, Prairie View A&M University – School of Public and Allied Health, Rodeo Dental, SCORE, Space Center Houston, and TSU School of Public Affairs/Recruitment and Pantone. At the village, organization partners distributed an array of essential resources including over 1000 laptops, disaster relief kits, dental kits, and the Space Center Houston provided attendees with a unique robotics workshop alongside the opportunity to send a postcard to space. The annual Cactus Jack Foundation HBCU Celebrity Softball Classic and the community action week that happens leading up continues to expand its impact year after year, serving as a powerful platform that unites sports, culture, and community engagement.
