40 year old Nas (Nasir Jones) celebrates 20 years of the landmark album that solidified him: Illmatic.
The “fountain of youth” drinking icon released Illmatic XX via SONY Legacy today as an anniversary album. The album features promo singles, remixes, and previous unreleased demos.

Fans got a taste of what’s to come when the legend gave a memorable performance at Day 2 of Coachella 2014. The celebrity filled festival witnessed pure historic poetry with hits such as: “Dead Presidents”, where he brought out Jay-Z. Nas and Jay who took to rap in the early 00’s with their “beef”, and squashed it in ’05, showed how unified they were as they celebrated the moment together. New York was represented well; Diddy also joined Nas on stage as he performed “Hate Me Now”. Watch the Full performance below:
