Let’s face it, we live in a healthy obsessed, no gmo, gluten free, sustainable society now a days; which isn’t bad at all. However, as the voice of “go greeners” escalated, a war broke out on earth between them and fast food. Documentaries such as Super Size me and Food Inc. began to surface. People started doing experiments on fast food such as the “Big Mac” 30 day challenge. No I’m not talking about eating it, I’m talking about leaving it out for 30 days to watch it decompose, if it decomposed. However, even though they were being painted with such an ugly hue, fast food went absolutely no where. Instead some fast food places began paying strict attention to freshness and ingredients.
Before I name my favorite fast food spot, Ill give you a little history lesson on fast food:
According to NationalDayCalendar.com
“Following World War I, automobiles became popular and more affordable. At that time drive-in restaurants were introduced. In 1921, White Castle, an American company founded by Billy Ingram and Walter Anderson in Wichita, Kansas, opened, selling hamburgers for five cents each. Anderson had opened the first White Castle in 1916 as a limited menu, high-volume, low-cost, high-speed hamburger restaurant.
The United States has the largest fast food industry in the world. There are American fast food restaurants that are located in over 100 countries. The term fast food was first recognized in the dictionary by Merriam-Webster in 1951.”
Not all Fast Food chains are created equal. As the Host of It’s National Day, and a lover of the number 5 with a fruit punch, I journeyed to Chick-Fil-A (@CFAStafford) for my celebration of #NationalFastFoodDay. I absolutely love them. Their Chicken Nuggets (my fav) Are all made of whole chicken breast. Their ingredients are ALWAYS fresh and customer service stays at 10. Quote me if you please, I have never experienced bad customer service at ANY Chick-Fil-A. Check out the fun I had:
Many people use fast food as a cheat day so today I hope you indulge! Enjoy!
