This past Saturday one of the worlds most renowned poets, Dr. Maya Angelou was laid to rest by her loving family and friends. She was honored by FLOTUS Michelle Obama, Oprah, Lee Ann Womack, and former POTUS Bill Clinton. The influential poet, mother, author, educator, dancer, actress, student, singer, and philanthropist passed away quietly in her home May 28th, 2014.

Music and Dance are two elements of education that can be considered "endangered". Thus, celebrities, educators, and supporters alike are all trying to save it's place in our schools curriculum.
